Maritime Testing (1985) Limited is an employee owned Atlantic Canadian Consulting Engineering and Environmental firm. Maritime Testing provides professional services in the fields of Construction Materials Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Environmental Engineering and Science. Maritime Testing provides our services to private and public sector interests including property developers/owners, contractors, realtors, consultants, and municipal, provincial, and federal government groups.
Maritime Testing is a medium-sized consulting firm with 45 full-time employees. During the construction season, Maritime Testing grows to near 65 employees with seasonal staff and students. Maritime Testing provides a friendly co-operative working environment with the professional divisions working together to accommodate the needs of our clients.
Maritime Testing has recently moved to a larger, custom-built building within Burnside Industrial Park. Our new modern office building and state-of-the-art laboratory were built to our specifications, which allow for a new, well-organized work environment to our ever-expanding workforce.
Civil / Geomaterials Technicians and Technologists
As part of our on-going expansion of operations, we are currently recruiting Civil / Geomaterials Technicians and Technologists to be based at our Dartmouth office. Successful applicants should be willing to travel within Nova Scotia. Permanent and seasonal positions are available.
Candidates should have a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent. Experience in materials testing is preferred; however, recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Primary duties will include, but not be limited to, both field and laboratory work such as:
- Asphalt Field and Lab Testing
- Asphalt Inspection
- A Full range of Laboratory Tests of Soils, Concrete and Asphalt
- Field Compaction Testing and Monitoring
- Concrete Testing
- Construction Quality Control/ Quality Assurance
- Other Various Quality Control Procedures
Geotechnical Engineer
We have an exciting career opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer in our Moncton office. This is a rare opportunity to make a significant contribution toward our expansion in this region. You will have the support of our well established head office in Dartmouth, and the flexibility to develop this aspect of our business in New Brunswick. Experience in construction materials would be a strong asset.
Hydrogeologist
We have an immediate opening for a Hydrogeologist. Opportunity exists to work both in water supply and contaminant fate and transport.
